DIWO2026 – NFDI Connect SH: Impulses for Research
As part of Digital Week Kiel 2026, the NFDI interest group of the state initiative FDM.SH invites participants to a networking meeting. The event brings together representatives from various NFDI consortia in the region and provides space for exchange on current challenges, perspectives, and developments within the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI).

The aim of the meeting is to increase the visibility of NFDI activities in Schleswig-Holstein, consolidate information, and strengthen knowledge transfer to universities and non-university research institutions. The focus is on both current projects and services as well as shared needs and practical questions arising from research practice.
The programme of the networking meeting offers a wide range of opportunities for active participation, including speed networking and a “solution market”. Planned keynote presentations will be given by Prof. Dr. Bridget Murphy (DAPHNE4NFDI), Dr. Hela Mehrtens (NFDI4Earth), and Anja Busch (International Engagement Section). They will address the current status of the NFDI and its sections, the practical benefits for researchers in their daily work, and existing tools, services, and infrastructures, using NFDI4Earth as an example.
The event thus not only provides opportunities for professional networking, but also concrete insights into current developments and practical support services within the NFDI. All interested parties are warmly invited to participate and actively contribute to shaping the networking landscape around research data management and the NFDI in Schleswig-Holstein.
Registration is open until April 30 via info@fdm-sh.de
The event is also listed in the DiWo Kiel program via this link.
