FDM-SH bOERse

The FDM-SH bOERse project is funded through the Digitalisation Programme 4.0 of the State of Schleswig-Holstein and aims to prepare existing materials on research data management (RDM) and make them available as open and reusable OER resources for research institutions in Schleswig-Holstein. In doing so, the project responds to the need for accessible, quality-assured, and easily integrable RDM resources identified within the state initiative FDM-SH.

Many existing training and informational materials on RDM are available in different formats, are distributed in a decentralised manner, or only partially comply with FAIR principles. This makes their use in teaching, training, and the institutional development of RDM structures more difficult. FDM-SH bOERse addresses this issue: based on a set of criteria developed within the FDM-SH Kontor project and further developed for FDM-SH bOERse, selected materials are revised to make them more discoverable, openly accessible, and efficiently reusable. Through this systematic preparation and provision, the project supports research institutions in building a tailored and needs-based materials base.

The project FDM-SH bOERse contributes to the implementation of the state of Schleswig-Holstein’s open-source strategy and open-access initiative and provides a foundation for the long-term establishment of open formats in training and information contexts.

The project name is composed of “Börse” (marketplace) referring to a platform for RDM teaching materials, OER (Open Educational Resources) as the publication goal of the materials, and the connection to the Schleswig-Holstein state initiative for research data management (FDM.SH). This reflects the project’s integration into the structures of the state initiative, through which it is both content-wise and structurally guided.
