FDM.SH at CoRDI 2025: A Recap

Published on: September 2, 2025

From 26 to 28 September 2025, the Conference on Research Data Infrastructure (CoRDI) held its second edition. The conference provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the future of research data management, exchange experiences, and further chart the course for sustainable research infrastructures.

FDM.SH at the Market of Opportunities

FDM.SH was also on board. At the “Market of Opportunities,” we had the chance to present ourselves alongside numerous other state-level initiatives in research data management. The format not only fostered engaging professional discussions but also offered plenty of opportunities for open exchange – a breath of fresh air for new ideas.

Highlight: RDM in Context Session

A particular highlight was our participation in the session “RDM in Context: Building Coherent Research Data Services from Local to Global.” Thilo Paul-Stüve presented the contribution developed together with colleagues from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, *"*Let’s bring the communities together: The approach of the federal state initiatives for RDM in Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania." The session clearly demonstrated that state initiatives, data competence centres, and other organisations are important and reliable partners for the NFDI and its consortia, helping to embed sustainable research data practices on a broad scale.

With the momentum from Aachen, we are now moving forward with renewed motivation, on course towards a strong, connected research data infrastructure.
