Participation and Exchange in the NFDI

The two-hour event focused on participation, exchange, and networking.
Cord Willjes from the NFDI office presented the structure and opportunities for participation.
Sonja Schimmler from TU Berlin and Fraunhofer FOKUS spoke about the Common Infrastructures section and various basic services being developed by the NFDI.
Florian Stahl from the University of Mannheim provided insights into the Industry Engagement section, including white papers on cooperation between science and industry.

Ways to Actively Participate

The aim of the event was to highlight ways in which institutions can actively participate in the NFDI – and why joint engagement is so important.
The NFDI thrives on its community; state initiatives such as FDM.SH and FDM-NDS create the appropriate spaces for this.

Continuing the Exchange with the FDM Northern Lights

Many thanks to all speakers and participants for the open exchange.
We look forward to continuing this dialogue in the North German FDM Northern Lights.
