The project develops practical formats and materials to promote inclusion and accessibility in research data management and supports RDM multipliers through training and self-study programmes.

In doing so, it draws on the findings and materials from the Datenlotse project and adapts them for use in national research data management training programmes. The starting point is a clearly identifiable need within the RDM community and among research institutions in Schleswig-Holstein, as inclusion and accessibility have so far been scarcely systematically integrated into existing training programmes.

The development is taking place in cooperation between the FDM.SH Competence Development working group and the Go Unite!-WG Inclusion within the FDM, as well as the Training and Continuing Professional Development Working Group of the DINI/nestor Research Data Working Group. It is also based on the collaboration between the Institute for Inclusive Education and the Research Data Management at Kiel University.

The results are made openly available and presented in such a way that they can be reused flexibly in a variety of teaching and learning contexts. Through this project, FDM.SH is enhancing the accessibility and reusability of research data in line with the principles of Open Science and is contributing to greater social participation. The results directly benefit research institutions in Schleswig-Holstein and are developed and tested in close consultation with the FDM.SH community.
